The Sudpin IV is an upgrade of the legendary Sudpin III, which has already been performing perfectly on thousands of bikes and will continue to do so in the future. With the "Fail Safe" system developed by NC-17, new standards are once again being set. Those who don't need it can continue to ride the Sudpin III with great satisfaction.

The "NC-17 Fail Safe" prevents the pedal body from detaching from the axle—even under extreme stress in the event of a malfunction. Even though it is unlikely that "Fail Safe" will need to be activated, it is reassuring to know that it is there. More safety at the same weight. Through the redesign of the pedal body, NC-17 was able to offset the installation and additional weight of the "Fail Safe" system. Thus, the Sudpin IV, like its predecessor the Sudpin III, remains one of the lightest in this pedal category at just 364 g.
