The Merrell Speed Strike 2 Gtx is a women's hiking shoe designed for agility and comfort on moderate trails. It features a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane that keeps feet dry in wet conditions while allowing breathability. The upper is made from a combination of mesh and synthetic materials, ensuring durability and a lightweight feel. The shoe uses Merrell's Kinetic Fit Base removable insole for flexible arch support and an EVA midsole for cushioning and stability. The outsole is made from Merrell's proprietary grippy rubber with 3 mm lugs, providing reliable traction on various surfaces. The tongue is designed as a bellows to prevent dirt from entering, and the toe cap offers additional protection. With a drop of 9 mm and a weight of approximately 340 g (size 38), this shoe is suitable for day hikes and brisk outdoor activities. The lace-up closure ensures a secure fit, and the padded collar and tongue enhance comfort. Available in size 38 (EU), this model is the successor to the original Speed Strike, featuring improved breathability and updated materials.
