The GORE-TEX membrane reliably keeps moisture out while maintaining breathability. The upper combines synthetic leather and ripstop fabric with abrasion-resistant reinforcements at the toe cap and heel. The lightweight EVA midsole absorbs shocks; the removable EVA insole provides extra comfort on long hikes. The Merrell rubber outsole offers reliable traction on both wet and dry surfaces.
