Merrell Agility Peak 6

The Merrell Agility Peak 6 is a trail running shoe designed for men, built to handle technical off-road terrain with reliability and comfort. This model is the successor to the Agility Peak 5, featuring updates that enhance durability and traction.

Upper and Fit: The shoe has a breathable mesh upper with welded TPU overlays for protection against rocks and debris. A gusseted tongue keeps out trail debris, while the traditional lacing system offers a secure fit. The heel cup provides stability without irritation. The shoe is available in EU size 43.5 (UK 9.5 / US 10.5), with a regular width.

Midsole and Cushioning: The midsole uses Merrell's FloatPro foam, offering a balanced blend of plush cushioning and responsive energy return. A Rockplate insert protects against sharp stones, reducing fatigue on long runs. The heel-to-toe drop is 8 mm.

Outsole: The outsole is a Vibram Megagrip compound with 4 mm lugs, delivering excellent grip on wet and loose surfaces. The lug pattern is aggressive enough for muddy trails yet smooth on hardpack. The outsole wraps slightly at the toe for improved climbing traction.

Additional Features: The shoe includes a reflective logo for low-light visibility and a mesh lining that wicks moisture. The insole is removable for custom orthotics. The stack height is 28 mm in the heel and 20 mm in the forefoot. The shoe weighs approximately 310 g (size 43.5), making it suitable for ultramarathons and daily training.

Performance: The Agility Peak 6 is best for trail running on moderate to technical terrain. It provides good stability for side-hilling and a comfortable ride for long distances. The shoe runs true to size and requires minimal break-in time. It is not waterproof but dries quickly after wet conditions.
