The AIR-ACTIVE Vakuum insole also conforms to the foot through a combination of foam and fleece, providing excellent support. Thanks to the so-called Heelcuff-Freeflex system, the entire cuff is more flexible: a dedicated stretch zone is integrated in the heel area. It fits snugly but is completely pressure-free. The Meindl Multigriff 3 by Vibram with PU cushioning wedge offers secure grip.

The grip is reliable and the breathability ensures well-being. An all-rounder that is suitable for both very experienced hikers and ambitious beginners.
It's unbelievable how soft, even plush, the Meind cuddles your feet. It feels wonderful - especially as the sturdy shoe (1470 g) rolls smoothly as if on rails. It flattens out anything that gets under its thick soles; sensitivity is not its thing. But if you can do without it, you get a strong partner for tough hiking tours. Price: 300 euros.
CREEPY FOOTMATE The heaviest pair tested may not be very agile - but they are super secure. And supple, because hardly any other pair fits so well, almost plushly around the feet. They also roll smoothly, offer lateral support and therefore safety: anything that gets under the Meindl's soles is ironed flat - it lacks precision and sensitivity when scrambling...
A shoe for demanding mountain hikes. The leather upper offers protection, as does the rubber coating on the toe box and heel area. Comfortable padding on the shaft. Sole profile with good grip. Very comfortable.
