Meindl Bernina 2

The Bernina 2 is a sturdy yet particularly comfortable full leather trekking shoe featuring all the details of the Meindl Comfort fit® concept. Shoes and boots of this design are suitable for people whose midfoot is slightly wider or who desire more space in the toe box. In construction, the Bernina 2 is similar to the Borneo by Meindl. Its seamless upper made from waxed nubuck leather is robust and easy to maintain with wax. The softly closing and angled cuff, the comfortable leather lining, and the natural cork insole ensure an excellent wearing experience and promote a good foot climate—even in higher outside temperatures. Stability and protection against rolling ankles are provided by the Bernina 2 through its hook lacing system. The very grippy Vibram® sole Multigrip® 3 Alpin Light prevents slipping even on slippery surfaces. Additionally, it is pre-shaped, allowing for a natural rolling motion despite its torsional stiffness. The Bernina 2 feels right at home in hilly terrain, and crossing scree fields or slightly exposed, pathless passages is no problem, as the surrounding rock protection edge confidently protects both the shoe and the foot.
