Maxxis Rekon Race Skinwall

The latest tire from Maxxis' long line of XC tires that have already won at a World Cup event. The RekonRace achieved this as a prototype almost a year before its official launch with Nino Schurter in Mont Saint-Anne. This fast semi-slick tire has a similar tread pattern to the all-round XC tire Rekon, but with smaller and lower knobs. Use it as a rear tire in combination with a more heavily treaded tire like the Rekon or Ikon on the front. Alternatively, use it front and rear for ShortTrack races and light, fast race courses.

EXO Protection: This extremely cut and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is tightly woven, lightweight, and very flexible, ensuring that the tire's performance remains impressively good.

Dual Compound: Two different rubber compounds are processed into a tread strip. Maxxis arranges the compounds according to the desired characteristics of the tires.
