Maxxis Overdrive Excel SilkShield REF 60TPI Single

The trekking tire that has everything you would expect from a modern city and trekking tire also surprises with innovative extras. The high-quality Maxxis casing with 60 threads per inch or 23 threads per cm is protected not only as usual under the tread but also all around the sidewalls with Maxxis' innovative SilkShield. The durable Maxxis rubber compound in the center of the tread impresses with low rolling resistance and is complemented on the sides by a grippy mixture that provides excellent cornering grip even in wet conditions. Reflective stripes on the sidewalls enhance safety. With its high stability at a low weight, the Overdrive Excel is also very well suited for pedelecs/e-bikes with assistance up to 25 km/h.

Technologies:

• Dual Compound: Two different rubber compounds are processed into a tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned according to the desired properties of the tires.
• Wire Bead Core: The bead core keeps the tire securely on the rim. High-quality wire is very suitable for this purpose, but it has the disadvantage of being non-foldable and slightly heavier.
• SilkShield: SilkShield offers Silkworm protection all around, from rim edge to rim edge, preventing cuts and other defects on the tire sidewalls and under the tread.
