Product details
The world's most widely used and successful downhill tire in recent years. The Minion DHF combines proven elements such as angled knobs for low rolling resistance and great smoothness with longitudinally slotted knobs for more gripping edges. This results in excellent directional stability and precise cornering behavior. It is the benchmark for fast tracks, from light freeride to hardcore downhill.
Dual compound: Two different rubber compounds are processed into a tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned according to the tire's characteristics.
Exo+ Protection: The new EXO+ construction combines two of the best puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO. The SilkShield layer surrounds the entire tire from bead to bead, while the EXO layer is mounted on the sidewalls. Tires with EXO+ Protection are designed for aggressive trail riding and enduro racing, and are particularly suited for the higher torque and weight of e-MTBs.
Tubeless Ready: Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with lower air pressure. This results in better traction and reduced rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures also decreases. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other tubeless ready tires. The bead of our TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a true UST tubeless tire. This ensures successful tubeless mounting on all standard-sized rims right from the first inflation and with little liquid.
