Despite its thin profile, the wide, bulbous Aspen bites well and surfs dry trails quickly. However, caution is advised in wet and slippery conditions, as it loses grip early on. Medium rolling resistance, rather heavy. Very good puncture resistance.

Product details
Do you want an all-round racing tire that rolls very well, is very lightweight, but also offers grip in almost all situations? The Aspen is Maxxis' answer to this requirement. In the center of the tread, closely spaced, slightly angled siped knobs alternate with small, beveled block knobs. This design redefines the ideal combination of high traction and low rolling resistance. The side knobs are arranged in pairs from the outside in, which significantly increases grip in corners. The Aspen impresses with outstanding performance in handling, traction, and grip, far exceeding that of competing models.
Exo Protection: This extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewalls of various MTB tires. It is tightly woven, lightweight, and very flexible, ensuring that the tire performance remains impressively good.
Wide Trail Casing: The Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tread layout and tire shape for today's modern wider rims. Traditional tires are designed for narrow rims and take on a too-angular shape on wider rims, resulting in less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm but work excellently on all rims with an inner measurement between 30 and 39 mm. The following MTB tire widths are available in WT construction: 2.40WT, 2.50WT, 2.60WT. Wider tires generally have a WT construction, but do not carry a WT designation on the tire sidewall.
Dual Compound: Two different rubber compounds are processed into a tread strip. Maxxis arranges the compounds according to the desired characteristics of the tires.
