Product details
An aggressive profile on a large-volume carcass, designed for good traction but fast enough for racers. Large block-shaped shoulder lugs grip with many edges in quick turns. The center of the tread features beveled lugs to minimize rolling resistance. With its wide range of models, the Ardent meets all demands for a fast tire, from touring to all-mountain, enduro, and freeriding.
Technologies:
Foldable Bead Core: Rings made of Kevlar or another aramid fiber securely hold the tires on the rim. Reduced weight and easier transport due to a compact size are advantages.
Dual Compound: Two different rubber compounds are processed into a tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned according to the desired characteristics of the tires.
Tubeless Ready (TR): Tubeless tires offer many advantages: you can ride with lower air pressure, resulting in better traction, rolling resistance is lower than with a tube, and where there is no tube, the risk of punctures decreases. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other Tubeless Ready tires, as the bead is completely covered with a rubber layer, like a true UST tubeless tire. This ensures that tubeless mounting on all rims that meet standard dimensions is successful with the first inflation and minimal liquid.
EXO Protection: This extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is tightly woven, lightweight, and very flexible. As a result, the tire performance remains impressively good.
