Mavic Crossmax

The Crossmax has enjoyed an excellent reputation among cross-country wheels for racing and trail use for many years. This new wheel model lives up to its name, featuring technologies from the wheels of XC pros, but at a significantly lower price. One of the top features is our UST technology, which allows for a particularly user-friendly setup with tubeless ready tires and offers all their advantages: better traction and control, smoother rolling, and a lower risk of punctures.

The rims feature a hookless rim profile with a 25 mm jaw width, and the rim joint is welded for even higher reliability. The lightweight Infinity hubs provide optimized lateral stiffness and spoke tension. Our Instant Drive 360 freewheel with two toothed pulleys impresses with fast frictional locking and maximum reliability. The HR hub is compatible with Shimano HG and Micro Spline as well as Sram XD freewheel bodies.

The new Crossmax is available with either a 6-hole or Centre-Lock brake disc mount, each in 29" and 27.5", compatible with 15x110 mm thru-axle at the front and 12x148 mm thru-axle at the rear. The scope of delivery includes valves, spare spokes, and other accessories.

Front hub specifications include 24 spokes. The rims are clincher/clincher type, constructed as hollow, tubeless compatible, with a disc brake system, low tread height (< 30mm), a valve hole of 6.5 mm, a width of 28 mm, and made of aluminum. The size is 29 inches with a mouth width of 25 mm.

Included in the delivery is 1 wheel with rim tape and tubeless valve, as well as two spare spokes. The spokes are made of steel, constructed straight with an aero profile and double thickness, and are laced in a 2-fold crossed pattern.

The front wheel has a maximum total load of 120 kg, is designed for a 6-hole disc brake type, and weighs 820 g. The axle system is VR 15x100 mm with a thru axle standard.
