The fixed pedal binding via magnets is not as perfect as real clicks, but easier to get off and therefore great for beginners and hobby riders. Otherwise stable, well stored and a bit heavy. You should try them out!
The magped safety pedal is the pedal innovation for mountain bikes and e-bikes. Thanks to the patented magnetic mechanism, it allows for a secure, quick, and easy release of the foot from the pedal at any time. The risk of falling and injury is reduced to an absolute minimum compared to pedals with fixed connections – allowing for enjoyable biking without fear.
Smooth Pedaling
The magped pedal enables a smooth pedaling motion, as both the extensor muscles (70%) and the flexor muscles (30%) of the leg muscles are evenly engaged. This makes even longer bike tours pure pleasure.
Weight
The magped pedal is a modern and high-quality flat pedal made from lightweight CNC-machined aluminum and a CrMo spindle. The weight, including the patented magnetic system, is only 452 g (100N magnet) or 474 g (150N magnet) per pair.
Position
The pedal allows for slight rotation of the shoe, thus protecting the joints while pedaling. Additionally, the position can be adjusted forward and backward without changing the pulling force, making it easy to find the ideal position for both climbing and descending.
Pulling Force
The shoe is held magnetically to the pedal with up to 15 kg of pulling force, depending on the chosen magnet strength. The pulling force acts primarily vertically, and a lateral release from the pedal is almost without noticeable resistance. A quick and easy release directly upward in critical situations is also not a problem.
Technology
The magped pedal is equipped with three high-quality, sealed industrial ball bearings. The pins of the pedal can be replaced if necessary. The height of the neodymium high-performance magnet is adjustable via a special integrated polymer spring.
Details:
Best suited are SPD shoes with fine to medium coarse profiles. Recommendation: 100N for riders under 65 kg, 150N for riders between 65-90 kg, 200N for riders over 75 kg.

A perennial favourite that still knows how to convince. Durable, adjustable and easy to maintain bearing unit. Function on the flat and click side is absolutely top. Also quite light and with reflector.
