Product details

Lifting straps are used when lifting heavy weights, as they are designed to support grip strength and the muscles in the forearm. With very high weights, it can happen that the target muscle can lift the weight, but the hands or forearms can no longer do so. At this point, the exercise must be stopped, even though the training stimulus has not yet been applied to the target muscle. In the worst case, the weight slips from the hand, and the exercise can only be finished awkwardly. This is where lifting straps come into play, as they can prevent exactly these scenarios.

The two lifting straps are wrist bands made of polyester, each with a sewn loop. The bands are 60 cm long and 4 cm wide. They are threaded through the loop, and the wrist is inserted through the same loop. The long end of the strap is then wrapped around the barbell up to three times and tightened – and the weightlifting can begin. These simple aids allow for the clean execution of training sessions without the need to focus intensely on holding on.

However, lifting straps should not be used for every exercise, but only when lifting very heavy weights or when trying to overcome training plateaus. They are particularly popular aids during deadlifts.
