How many ounces? Leone gloves have a weight in ounces (OZ) that can vary between 6 and 18 depending on the athlete's weight class and intended use. As the weight in ounces increases, so does the padding and therefore the weight of the glove. In our models, the fit also adjusts with the increase in ounces. Generally, we can assist you with the following information for selection: 6 OZ suitable for children and young boys, 8 - 10M OZ suitable for women and boys. (10M gloves have the same weight as the classic 10 OZ but a reduced fit, perfect for women's hands and young people) 10 OZ is the classic weight, ideal for training with a punching bag and for competitions. 12 - 18 OZ specifically for sparring in the gym. To protect your hands and your opponent, we recommend choosing the right padding based on your weight as well.
