Lake MX242-X

The MX242 is the result of all our experience, advanced materials, and shoe manufacturing techniques, designed to provide the best fit solution for hard-to-fit foot types. It is made with a thermoformable heel cup and a specially designed upper that offers enough adjustability to accommodate cyclists with hallux valgus, deformities, narrow or wide feet, or high or low insteps. The separate panels allow for a refined fit and relieve sensitive and painful areas of the feet.

Fit: Equipped with a wider toe box and a narrower heel than the Comfort last, and with an overall slightly increased volume compared to the Sport last. Exceptionally secure for intense rides, with enough space in the toe box to avoid pressure points when climbing or wearing. Designed for performance and competition.

Outsole: Lake Competition outsole, 100% made of carbon fiber, with a genuine Mountain Competition rubber outsole that provides comprehensive protection and ground contact.

Lining: Abrasion-resistant Helcor leather, vegetable-tanned Ecco leather, and Nufoam lining with carbon fiber support panels that help ensure a secure fit while providing stability in the foot. The abrasion-resistant Helcor leather is specially developed to be extremely durable against friction, scratches, and abrasions. The upper is segmented into 6 independent zones to allow one of the most flexible fits, accommodating narrow or wide feet as well as feet with high or low insteps. The formable heel counter doubles the hold on the heel for a secure fit.

Closure: BOA® Fit System Li2 dial closures. The Li2 dial closure is the most advanced platform in cycling, offering a precise and micro-adjustable fit in both directions as well as high abrasion resistance.
