Lake CX242

The CX242 is the result of our extensive experience, advanced materials, and shoe manufacturing techniques, creating a shoe that offers the best fit solution for difficult-to-fit foot types. It features a thermoformable heel counter and a specially designed upper that provides enough adjustments to accommodate cyclists with bunions, deformities, narrow or wide feet, or a high or low instep. The separate panels allow for refining the fit, relieving pressure from sensitive and painful areas of the feet.

The shoe has a 100% carbon fiber sole with a Lake Competition design, available with a 3-hole cleat pattern. It is made from full grain leather or Clarino microfiber, with NuFoam lining and carbon fiber support panels that help maintain a secure fit while adding stability to the foot. The upper is segmented into six independent zones for a highly flexible fit, accommodating both narrow and wide feet as well as high and low insteps. The moldable heel counter enhances heel hold for a secure fit, while Carbitex support panels provide additional support to enhance closure.

The CX242 is equipped with the BOA® Fit System Li2 dials, which offer the most advanced platform in cycling, providing a precise and micro-adjustable fit in both directions and designed to resist abrasion. Hot molding instructions are available.
