La Sportiva equips the shoe with a textile upper and a GORE-TEX® membrane. This construction allows for a relatively low weight and complete weather resistance of the shoe. The special lacing system distributes tension evenly across the instep, ensuring pressure-free comfort. To protect your foot and the material from damage in rocky terrain, La Sportiva has incorporated a protective cap in the toe area and a stabilizing chassis in the Akyra II GTX. The FriXion® Red sole is made from a rubber blend that offers a good mix of grip and durability.
