La Sportiva Akyra II GTX

The Akyra II is a convincing hybrid of hiking and trail running shoe that is characterised in particular by its snug fit and grip. La Sportiva has equipped the low shoe with a textile upper and a Gore-Tex membrane. This construction enables the shoe's relatively low weight and absolute weather resistance. The special lacing system distributes the tension evenly over the entire instep so that you benefit from pressure-free comfort. To protect your foot and the material from damage in scree, La Sportiva has fitted the Akyra II with a protective cap in the toe area and a stabilising chassis. The FriXion Red sole is made from a rubber compound that offers a good mix of grip and durability. Functional support is provided by the Impact Brake System (IBS), which supports braking power when going downhill, maximises traction when going uphill and reduces shock loads when stepping with specially arranged studs. In short: the Akyra II is made for active backpacking tours - and is also vegan thanks to the absence of leather and animal glue.
