The clever hoof cooler bells from Kieffer provide relief from inflammatory hoof conditions.

With the aid of the integrated cooling pads, the hoof cooler bells can provide lasting, even cooling of the horse's hoof. This means that they can be used simply and reliably in combination with heat for preventive or therapeutic purposes in the case of hoof diseases such as laminitis or inflammatory processes. The targeted cold effect on the affected tissue provides an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect and can help the horse regain mobility and well-being.

Since the hoof coolers can be applied like conventional bells, the application is particularly easy and the bell is well accepted by the horse. Impractical and tedious water baths or cooling bandages are now a thing of the past. The gel-filled, skin-friendly cooling pads are fixed in the outer bell made of soft Kiefferpren with Velcro. Before applying, the cooling elements must be placed in the freezer, then they are attached in a frozen state. Thanks to the extra large flap, an individual, stepless size adjustment is possible. The cooling time is approximately 3 hours, after which the gel pads must be placed in the freezer again in order to use them again. To ensure a continuous cooling cycle, several cooling pads can be used, which are frozen and used alternately. Two sets of cooling pads are included in the scope of delivery.

This product was developed in collaboration with several veterinarians and found by them in tests as a valuable aid for various ailments in the area of the hoof.
