Usage

The Supreme Lead Rope from Kerbl is particularly grippy and made from braided polypropylene. The lead rope can be purchased with either a panic or carabiner hook.

Polypropylene

Polypropylene is a long-staple fiber that is processed into combed yarn. The yarn is specially cleaned through combing. It is then pre-stretched and re-combed, which aligns the fibers parallel and evenly. Polypropylene is used in the form of polypropylene fibers for a thin layer that wicks sweat or other liquids away from the body. This prevents other layers, such as those made from wool or cotton, from becoming saturated with liquid. Such a layer that transports sweat away is referred to as a base layer and should fit snugly against the skin to facilitate better moisture transport.
