The Keralit hoof care solution is ideal for the care and prevention of thrush in your horse.
The horn becomes indigestible to decay bacteria and fungi, allowing new, healthy horn to grow back. Keralit hoof care liquid is a liquid, well-adhering solution specifically designed for the problem areas of the hoof frog. It serves to care for and regenerate damaged and decomposed soft horn. The hoof care solution is particularly helpful for already softened and foul-smelling central and lateral frog grooves. Harmful influences from bedding, such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide, are directly neutralized. After 3-4 days of application, the frog grooves visibly dry out. The frog can then grow back healthily.
Application: Before treatment, clean the hoof frog thoroughly with a swab and spatula. The frog should not be washed out or washed with soap. Soap is alkaline and promotes the growth of harmful fungi and bacteria. After thorough cleaning, the liquid is applied deeply into the frog grooves using the nozzle to ensure that the thrush is treated even deep within the grooves. Alternatively, a swab soaked in Keralit hoof liquid can be used. Care should be taken to avoid tightly clogging the swab.
In acute cases, Keralit hoof liquid should be applied daily. Once improvement is seen, 2-3 times a week is sufficient. For prevention, one treatment per week is enough.
Hazard warnings: H315 - Causes skin irritation. H317 - May cause allergic skin reactions. H319 - Causes serious eye irritation. H335 - May cause respiratory irritation.
