The Voyager has only one side for practicing, the other "mesh" side is for the stability of the mat. Don't expect cushioning from the Voyager, but it's the best mat if you're short on storage space or need it on top of another studio mat. Just as there are wrinkles in the fabric when you fold your clothes in your suitcase, it is normal for wrinkles to appear on the mat when it remains folded. This is mitigated if you store the Voyager rolled up when you are not traveling.
