ION Scrub

Do you appreciate a good drink? That's right, ION talks about the perfect blend of selected ingredients. It's a similar story with ION's flat rate pedal, shoe Scrub Amp. To achieve the best performance in terms of grip, power transmission, durability, usability and style, they rely on a combination of different parameters, and if you take a closer look at the sole, you'll see a new concept in which ION mix a softer EVA sole with a softer but robust rubber. The result is the Pin Tonic and the Scrub Amp has an asymmetric shank to better protect the inside of the foot facing the cranks. The sole contains special zones that are designed for pedalling or running. This zone extends from the ball of the foot to the end of the midfoot. The toe and heel areas have been equipped with special climbing zones to provide support away from the pedals. The second special blend is centred around the perfect combination of stiffness in the longitudinal axis and flexibility in the lateral axis. Because a flat pedal shoe must offer unhindered power transmission in the longitudinal axis while pedalling, but on the lateral axis you need a certain amount of flex to prevent the foot from slipping. In all of this, you must not neglect a pleasant rolling sensation when walking. The toe area conceals a stable, pre-moulded toe box to protect against injuries in the event of ground contact. The slim design of the Raid II even makes it a stylish extra in the bar after a session.
