Developing new shoe soles is a bit like constantly improving your favourite recipe. The basic recipe remains the same, only the ingredients are refined and tuned. Following the principle, one has further refined its flat pedal shoes with the optimal combination of grip, durability, usability and style. The main ingredient, the Pin Tonic Sole Concept 2.0, has been further developed to suit the tastes of all riders. The new outsole features a positive tread in the front and rear areas to provide firm grip when pushing or carrying your bike. The negative tread in the central area, on the other hand, offers perfect grip for the pins while riding. In addition, the rubber compound has been updated to offer even more grip. Despite the new features, the tried and tested ingredients should not be forgotten, so ION once again relies on a comfortable EVA midsole and cosy insole. Since grip is not the only element for optimal power transmission, the Scrub has a flatter profile in the toe area, which increases the contact with the pedal.
