ION Rascal

Ion's premium race-oriented clipless bike shoe. The Rascal Select offers much more than uncompromising power transmission to the pedal: its design combines stiffness in the longitudinal axis with flexibility in the transverse axis and in the shaft. This torsional design principle helps to prevent the foot from tipping on the pedal. Special climbing and pedaling zones on the tread ensure reliable grip both on and off the pedal. The BOA Fit system on the upper instep ensures a quick, effortless and precise adjustment of the fit. Thanks to this system, a seamless connection can be made between equipment and rider and thus speed as well as mobility. While the inner lining feels velvety soft when the shoes are put on, it shows its rough side should the heel slip out of the shoe. The inner lining roughened in one direction keeps the heel where it belongs - in the shoe. Since the Rascal Select is designed for downhill-oriented driving, ION has placed the cleat area further back compared to all-mountain-oriented shoes. The cushioning EVA midsole absorbs shock & vibration, while the rubberized heel and reinforced toe cap absorb forces should you get stuck with the foot on rocks or roots. The asymmetrically shaped shaft protects the foot on the crank side while still offering full freedom of movement. The robust PU main fabric ensures durability and a long life of this premium shoe. Breathable mesh inserts in the forefoot provide a comfortable climate in the shoe.
