Does anybody have arms stretched out driving downhill? Certainly not. Therefore, ION has preformed the E_Pact with a diffraction angle of almost 90°. This fit avoids drapery as well as incision of the mesh material in the crook of the arm and thus premature fatigue. Since freedom of movement is essential for intuitive steering manoeuvres, the E_Pact relies on a combination of viscoelastic foam materials and a hard shell. The high-quality HD_Memory Foam optimally adapts to the body contour and has proven its longevity at ION over years in kitesurfing hip belts. The hard shell takes the fright out of pointed stones, distributes the kinetic energy of an impact over a large area and gives the schooner a slim visual appearance thanks to the thin padding used.
