The Hanwag Yakstone is a robust men's hiking boot designed for challenging terrain and multi-day trekking tours. In a classic chestnut brown, this shoe combines traditional materials with modern technology for reliable performance on uneven paths and rocky ground. The upper is made of durable, oiled nubuck leather, providing excellent protection against abrasion and light moisture, while developing an attractive patina over time. A sturdy rubber cap protects the foot from impacts, and the continuous nylon shaft ensures stability and support on rough terrain. The boot features a waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex membrane that keeps feet dry in wet conditions without compromising ventilation. Inside, a removable, cushioned insole offers good arch support and shock absorption. The high shaft ensures ankle stability and prevents dirt from entering. The outsole is a Vibram® unit with deep, self-cleaning lugs for reliable traction on mud, loose stones, and wet rocks. The Yakstone is designed with the Hanwag S-last for a precise, comfortable fit that accommodates wider feet without sacrificing heel hold. The lacing system uses traditional hooks and eyelets for a customizable fit. This boot is ideal for hikers who value durability, support, and a classic aesthetic for long-distance hikes and backpacking trips. Note: The shoe has a relatively stiff construction and requires a break-in period. The size corresponds to European standards, and this model is available in EU 42.5.
