Goodyear-welted: A traditional, highly skilled craftsmanship method where the upper and sole unit are connected with stitches. Very comfortable to wear due to quick moisture absorption and providing a natural feel. Good fit. Dries slower than synthetic linings, making it less suitable for tours in wet regions. Fewer seams reduce the risk of potential pressure points and seam wear. It looks simple, but is difficult and expensive to produce. Thanks to the Goodyear-welted construction, Hanwag's shoes can be resoled multiple times.
