Especially stable trekking boots for tours with a lot of luggage. Offers plenty of space in the forefoot for added comfort. GORE-TEX ultrathin and lightweight membrane made of stretched, microporous PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene). Highly breathable and permanently waterproof membrane.

The shoe is suitable for demanding hikes in hilly terrain, even on poor paths. The category primarily determines the stiffness of the sole, the drop (how rounded the sole is to allow for good rolling), and the shaft construction. For this reason, you will find categories A-B-C-D for each model, which give an idea of how stiff the shoe is.

D = very firm and fully crampon-compatible (step-in/automatic crampons). C = firm and conditionally crampon-compatible (strap-on/semi-automatic crampons). B = firm grip and solid, but flexible sole for trekking and hiking. A = soft, very well-flexing construction.

100% resoleable. Thanks to the stitched or welted construction, Hanwag's shoes can be resoled multiple times.
