GripGrab Faststream Aero Dial Covers

The GripGrab FastStream Aero Dial Covers are designed for high-speed riding on roads and gravel paths, targeting one of the most aerodynamically disruptive areas of modern cycling shoes. By smoothing the airflow over protruding closure dials, they aim to reduce aerodynamic disturbances with minimal additional weight. In controlled aerodynamic tests, the Dial Covers showed measurable aerodynamic savings of up to 8 watts at 45 km/h.

A PU-coated stretch material is used to focus the cover on the area of the closure dials, creating a continuous surface where airflow disturbances are typically greatest. A snug slip-on construction ensures a streamlined profile while allowing air to flow to the uncovered areas of the shoe.

Weighing only 18 grams per pair, the FastStream Aero Dial Covers add only a slight increase to the rider's gear weight while providing targeted aerodynamic benefits.

Developed and tested in collaboration with professional road cycling teams, the FastStream Aero Dial Covers are positioned as a focused aerodynamic alternative to full shoe covers. They are compatible with road and gravel cycling shoes but are not reinforced for use in off-road or heavy gravel conditions.

The Dial Covers are designed to be combined with the GripGrab FastStream Aero Cycling Socks to create a clean aerodynamic interface around the ankle and lower leg.
