Giro Switchblade MIPS

The Switchblade MIPS is designed for downhill and elite enduro racing. Every detail is optimized for descending, from the MIPS system and a variety of certifications (CPSC, EN-1078, ASTM-1952-DH with and without chin bar) to the P.O.V. visor and the Roc Loc Air DH adjustment system, which is designed to prevent unwanted changes that can occur when the helmet comes into contact with a backpack or neck brace. The chin bar helps manage impact energies and can be attached or removed in seconds.

The full-cut style gives the helmet an aggressive look, while the strategic ventilation, including wind tunnel ventilation channels behind the cheek pads, ensures adequate airflow.

MIPS Technology: The MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) consists of three main components: the EPS liner, the low friction liner, and an elastomeric attachment system between them. When subjected to rotational forces, the elastomers allow the EPS shell to move independently around the head. Helmets equipped with MIPS can provide increased protection in certain situations.

X-STATIC Padding: The X-Static pads are woven with silver threads. Quick-drying and antibacterial, they combat odor formation. Additionally, the X-Static pads provide the rider with a cooling sensation in heat and a warming sensation in cold conditions due to their thermo properties.
