Giro Insurgent Spherical

The Giro Insurgent™ Spherical is designed to provide the protection that our top riders demand, from the Enduro World Series to the Red Bull Rampage. Our engineers have maximized the openings for cool, fresh air while optimizing the exhaust vents, all connected by deep channels. A lightweight, soft, and absorbent padding set includes a forehead pad with a special flange that directs sweat away from the eyes. For each of the three sizes, two different thickness cheek pads are included for a customized fit. They are secured by a directional plug system that allows for easy removal in the event of a crash. Weighing in at 1,040 grams in size M/L, the Insurgent is 200 grams lighter than the Disciple™ Mips, despite also featuring the advanced protective performance of Spherical Technology™. The Insurgent Spherical utilizes two inner shells that function like a ball joint to redirect impact energy during a fall. The outer shell is made of EPS, which is well-suited for high-speed crashes. The inner shell is made of lower-density EPP with rebound properties, suitable for low-speed accidents. Additional features include a patented Flex Gasket at the bottom edge of the helmet, designed to reduce the helmet's impact in certain clavicle fractures, and tool-free removable visor screws with an integrated hex socket for easy disassembly, as well as a central visor screw hole that serves as an ideal mount for P.O.V. action cameras.
