Giro Cinder MIPS

The Cinder MIPS offers all the features that an enthusiastic road cyclist looks for in a lightweight helmet. The design is inspired by the classic aesthetics of the premium Synthe helmet. Key features include the Roc Loc 5 Fit System, which allows for vertical adjustment of the helmet with just one hand. The Air FX padding provides comfort on longer rides, and the helmet is equipped with MIPS to redirect impact energy and offer more protection in certain situations. MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) consists of a movable shell inside the helmet that follows head movement (10-15 mm) and dampens any rotational energy that may occur during falls to protect the brain. The Roc Loc Air Fit System has the same features as the Roc Loc 5, but it also significantly increases airflow and ventilation inside the helmet. The unique design creates a small air cushion between the helmet shell and the head, allowing the airflow to flow freely and cool without compromising fit and comfort. Size adjustment is easy and can be done in micro-increments with two fingers. Additionally, the system can be adjusted in height to ensure a perfect fit of the helmet. In-Mold construction bonds the robust polycarbonate outer shell to the impact-absorbing EPS inner shell during the foaming process, making the helmet even more durable without adding extra weight. This production process also allows for significantly better ventilation systems and vents to be formed. Compared to traditional helmets, In-Mold helmets are therefore lighter and have significantly better ventilation systems.
