The Akron GTX loves technical climbs and rocky paths: suede and microfiber protect the foot, while the Michelin sole with climbing zone grips rock and scree. Thanks to the Add-System and long lacing, the shoe adapts perfectly and remains comfortable even on long tours. As a technical hiking shoe with robust leather, the weight is noticeably higher compared to pure lightweight hiking shoes.

Product details
Robust, versatile, and powerful mountain companions. The perfect partners for approaches and more: the Akron GTX by Garmont! These sturdy and comfortable approach shoes, with their low-cut suede upper and RPU inserts, are ideal for quick and flexible mountain tours. The lining features the innovative GTX Extended Comfort ePE membrane, which contains recycled materials and is PFC-free. It provides reliable weather protection with high breathability and minimal weight. The Ortholite Ultra insole, made with partially recycled PU foam, ensures maximum support and comfort underfoot.
Performance and comfort down to the last detail. Among the consistently high-quality components, the integrated ankle gaiters stand out, preventing dirt from entering, and the Heel Lock System helps to prevent heel slippage and blisters. Other special features of the Akron mountain shoes include the anatomical tongue that adapts to the shape of the foot and the precision lacing for a perfect fit.
Key highlights: Consistently high-quality and reliable materials, refined construction for maximum performance, comfortable and thoughtfully coordinated features.
