Fox Racing Shox SLS Spring – robust and lightweight comfort for downhill, freeride, and enduro. When the terrain gets particularly rough downhill, steel spring dampers are more durable than air dampers on full-suspension bikes. While the latter are lighter, Fox has come up with something special with the SLS (Super Light Steel) to save weight. The special surface treatment and a stress-reducing manufacturing process decrease the internal stress of the spring, making it more load-bearing. This also allows for a smaller material diameter with fewer spring coils. As a result, the Fox Superlight steel springs are even lighter than titanium springs. Intended use: downhill / freeride.
