Just as bikes are becoming increasingly capable on the trails, the brake caliper can conquer the terrain. This new era for Formula's brakes opens up the possibility of changing the status quo. The Cura is the first brake to use Formula's mineral oil. Previously, Formula's performance requirements had prevented the inclusion of mineral oil. Ultimately, Formula found and utilized an oil that complements the performance of their brakes.

The Cura has been developed from the ground up with the rider in mind. In both the lab and on the test track, it has been confirmed that the Cura is an extremely strong, versatile brake that is appreciated by everyone from casual riders to World Cup competitors. Formula believes that the brake is one of the most personal and familiar components on a bike, which is why they prioritize simplicity and efficiency in their design.
