This lightweight single-wall tent features an innovative coating that helps reduce the formation of condensation. It is a single-wall trekking tent designed for 2 people, equipped with a condensation-resistant coating and a unique Y-shaped pole system for bivouacs with light gear.

Condensation occurs when moisture from the air cools upon contact with the cold tent walls and turns into water droplets. This happens when the air inside becomes warmer than the tent due to the heat emitted by the people inside. The main fabric of this tent is equipped with Condensless technology, an innovation from Decathlon's R&D team. The thin aluminum layer applied through vacuum evaporation acts as a conductor, thereby reducing the formation of condensation.

However, moisture can still accumulate inside the tent during heavy rain. All our tents are tested in the laboratory, where the assembled product is exposed to 200 liters of water per square meter per hour in a rain chamber for three hours. This simulates a typical tropical rain. This bivouac tent is intended for use during hiking and camping. It is not suitable for prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. We recommend minimizing sun exposure, as the lightweight fabric is UV-sensitive.

In spring 2024, we conducted a 5-week field test in the Alps with independent trekkers from Decathlon. Various individuals spent a total of 29 nights in the single-wall MT900 UL 2P tent. In 72% of the nights, no condensation was observed on the inner walls, apart from slight moisture on the sealing strips. In the same conditions, the parallel comparison tent MT900 2P showed no condensation in only 28% of the nights.
