An endurance saddle with a rideable, carbon-reinforced nylon shell, Kium hollow profiles and progressive damping with a lower compression modulus. The Tempo Argo R3 is a versatile endurance road bike saddle with a short nose design and generous ischial support that promotes stability. While a traditional saddle shape encourages the rider to change position frequently to get better leverage, the Argo puts the rider in a firmer position for more stability and better weight distribution. Argo is the brand's most versatile saddle shape, with each version suited to different riding styles. The Tempo Argo is designed to provide a ride feel that matches the balanced geometry of today's all-round race bikes. The short length of the Tempo Argo allows the rider to sit further forward without putting undue pressure on sensitive tissues. It also features an ergonomic cut-out based on detailed pressure analysis and input from medical experts. The padding is made from Fizik's proprietary Type 2 foam, which is slightly thicker in the ischial tuberosities to support a more upright riding position. The padding is slightly softer and more progressive than that used by Fizik in its racing saddles, providing more comfort on long rides.
