Running long distances on uneven, rocky trails can be very challenging, as there are variables that do not exist on roads and paths. For this reason, and at the request of many trail runners, Drymax has developed its most demanding socks: the Maximum Protection Trail Running Socks. These socks utilize the same friction-reducing PTFE technology as the Maximum Protection Running Socks, but with some added trail-specific features.
The Maximum Protection Trail Running Socks are race-tested and prevent blisters during trail marathons and ultra-long-distance runs. There are no ventilation openings in the sock, which helps prevent foreign objects from irritating the foot. The 1/4 crew height is double the thickness and can be folded down to provide a mini crew option that includes four layers. Running blister-free allows runners to improve their times, enhance their performance, and have much more fun.
These socks were worn by the iconic ultrarunner Ellie Greenwood to set the new Women's Course Record at the legendary Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run—without any blisters—in an astonishing time of 16 hours, 47 minutes, and 19 seconds.
