Contec Abbey MIPS

The Contec helmet "Abbey MIPS," named after the world-famous Abbey Road in London, is proof that safety can be stylish. With Abbey MIPS, you can be confident in navigating urban traffic safely. This city/urban helmet is made from a combination of a lightweight in-mold micro-shell plastic construction with a thin EPS inner shell and is equipped with the MIPS system.

What is MIPS? The MIPS technology allows the helmet shell to move relative to the head in the event of an oblique impact. This protects your brain from rotational forces and severe injuries.

At the back of the helmet, there is a safety LED light that makes you more visible to other road users in twilight conditions. The integrated light is rechargeable via a USB port, with a maximum illumination time of 165 minutes. Another feature for increased visibility is the reflective straps on the Abbey MIPS. The magnetic Fidlock snap closure, complete with padding, allows the helmet to be opened and closed with one hand, without the risk of pinching. The integrated TriVider, an extra-wide strap divider, ensures high comfort and individual adjustment. Speaking of adjustment: thanks to the XY Sizer (adjustment dial) at the back of the helmet, the Abbey MIPS can be individually adjusted in height and width. The cooling padding inside the helmet has an anti-sweat effect and is washable and replaceable.
