The Format is Chromag's first single-clamp grip designed for those who want to utilize the full width of their handlebars and position their hands all the way to the edge. They found that some single-clamp grips suffered from additional twisting, which is why they designed the sleeve to fit snugly against the handlebars at the ends. After examining the wear patterns of grips that had been in use for a long time, Chromag integrated various patterns and zones into the Format to account for the different dynamics in each part of the hand.
