Product details

It doesn't get any easier than this - Celestron has revolutionized stargazing. With the Celestron StarSense Explorer telescope and the fantastic app, no prior knowledge of astronomy, alignment, or the Earth's rotation is needed. Simply set up the telescope, mount your smartphone, start the app, select your target, and observe. The use of these telescopes and the app is very user-friendly. First, the app is installed on the smartphone. Then, during observation, the smartphone is placed in the special holder on the telescope. The smartphone's camera scans the night sky and indicates the direction in real-time with arrows, showing where the telescope should be pointed. Once the position is reached, the crosshair lights up green, and the desired target—whether it's the Moon, stars, or constellations—can be viewed through the eyepiece. Dobsonian mount with a 12" (305mm) Newtonian reflector. Focal length: 1,500mm Aperture f/4.9. Supplied with a 32mm eyepiece. Magnification = 47x. Optical weight: 22.7 kg. Mount weight: 21.7 kg. Mirror weight: 10.8 kg. Total weight: 55.2 kg. Total volume: 0.478m3 (packaged).
