Product details
Celestron has created a new line of entry-level telescopes with this series that offer tremendous value for money. An inspiring gift for any student who has always been interested in the wonders of the night sky.
Even with the smallest Powerseeker instruments, many discoveries can be made: for example, PowerSeekers with apertures starting at 50mm already show the cratered world of the moon in detail, the four moons of Jupiter, and the rings of Saturn. Deep sky objects such as the Orion Nebula and the Andromeda Galaxy also make for interesting viewing. As the light-gathering aperture increases, the power of a telescope increases dramatically: a 114mm or even 127mm diameter PowerSeeker is the stepping stone into more advanced hobby astronomy. This will reveal details in Jupiter's cloud bands, surface features on Mars, smaller galaxies and planetary nebulae. All Powerseeker telescopes come with a basic set of high quality 1.25" eyepieces, so you can get started right away.
This azimuthal mount is sufficient for telescopes up to about 3kg total weight. A rotating handle allows the mount to be aimed and locked on any object with one hand. The completely pre-assembled tripod has aluminum legs and carries mount and telescope stable and vibration-free. On the accessory tray you can store important accessories and always have them within reach.
