Castelli Flight Jacket Air

Our lightest, fastest, and most breathable jacket is great for high-intensity riding or for maintaining the right body temperature in cool conditions. It features no membrane but includes Polartec® Alpha® insulation.

This jacket is ideal for fast rides on days when it's too warm for a jacket and too cold for a jersey. Traditionally, you might have used a vest and arm warmers on those days, but this jacket does it better.

Instead of completely blocking the wind from your torso, the stretch fabric is minimally permeable. It keeps enough air out to prevent freezing but allows enough through to keep you drier. Along with the shell, featherweight Polartec® Alpha® insulation provides essential warmth in key areas without sacrificing breathability.

The cut is close to the body, making it our most aerodynamic jacket. While aerodynamics may not be a priority in winter, we firmly believe in the "Fast is Fun" principle. The close fit also makes the jacket warmer than the minimalist materials would usually allow.

Other features are strictly rider-oriented: The smooth-running YKK® Vislon® zipper allows for easy one-handed ventilation. Three back pockets offer ample room for everything you need on long stages. The cut is short, ensuring it is not bulky in the front or back. Reflective details ensure visibility, and the outer material is water-repellent to keep out splashes and short showers.
