This product could be described as a type of "convergence product." A few years ago, we launched the first Omloop Thermal Bib Short, inspired by professional riders who trimmed their knee warmers at the knee bend during a cool, sunny Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. We set out to design a bib short tailored specifically to this point and discovered that it could function without an elastic band – and that the additional 10 centimeters of fabric actually provided significantly more warmth. These first Omloop shorts were designed for cool, dry conditions – just like the race that inspired them.

Fast forward to 2026: We are applying this approach to the Espresso Thermal Bib Short. This new bib short is made from the warm and soft Thermoflex material of the Espresso 2 Thermal Bib Short, combining warmth, elasticity, and comfort in a performance-oriented design. It is the ultimate transitional model – everything you loved about the Omloop Thermal Bib Short, now evolved for modern cyclists and longer rides.
