The resistance of a material to water pressure is measured in mm water column (tested according to ISO 1092) – the higher the pressure, the more impermeable the fabric. With a waterproof rating of 25,000 mm water column, it offers a very high level of protection. A material with an impermeability of 25,000 mm can withstand a pressure of 2.5 bar. This test is particularly significant, as even very waterproof materials can allow water to penetrate through seams, flaps, or zippers.
