The Cane Creek 40 series sets the standard for performance, durability, and value. Based on the premium design of the 110 series, the 40 series includes all the features necessary for a robust, lightweight, and long-lasting headset.

They simplify things by developing consistent graphics, interchangeable parts, and over 40 configurations to meet almost any size requirement. Sold in straight and tapered assemblies or tops and bottoms, the tops are available with either short (9 mm) or tall (15 mm) bearing covers in stack height. Equipped with a full alloy construction - sealed cartridge bearings, 6000 series alloy cups and materials, as well as a sealed steel crown race - the Forty series headset sets the standard against which all other headsets must be measured.

ZN40 Bearings: The ZN40 bearings are corrosion-resistant, zinc-plated, machined steel cartridge bearings with hardened steel balls, significantly enhancing the durability of the 40 series headsets.

Interlok Spacer Compatible: The patented Interlok spacer design provides a solid interface between the top cover and the spacer stack, meaning they "nest" into each other and into the top of the bearing cover, helping to minimize slipping under load while riding and saving 25% weight compared to a standard alloy spacer stack.
