Product details

This fire-resistant hood is designed to protect firefighters not only from fire but also from dermal exposure to various toxic and carcinogenic particles. To specifically combat dermal exposure, it uses a three-layer FR fabric to protect the most vulnerable areas of the head and neck. The first layer is made from a blend of Nomex®, FR Viscose, and Elastane, while the second consists of a non-woven meta-aramid textile layer made from DuPont T Nomex® Nano Flex, which acts as a barrier against harmful micro and nanoparticles with an effectiveness of 99.99%.

Unlike other flame-retardant hoods and anti-particle balaclavas on the market, it features HeiQ Smart Temp Cooling technology. This provides increased comfort for firefighters in extreme situations by helping them automatically regulate their body temperature, thereby reducing the risk of fatigue, dehydration, heat stroke, or even heat stress due to high temperatures.
