The Approach Vest features an ultra-light ripstop nylon outer layer that utilizes the revolutionary moisture-wicking technology from Green Theme International – an eco-friendly, PFC-free water-repellent treatment with superior properties that is significantly more durable than most other classic water-repellent solutions. Inside, high-quality HyperDRY™ 800 goose down, certified by RDS, provides excellent loft and offers ultra-compact protection with high thermal efficiency that is weather-resistant. When the moment comes, the jacket can be packed into its left chest pocket and attached to your harness with an integrated carabiner loop clip. For 2023, the fit, style, and size of this jacket have been completely redesigned. It is equipped with GTT Empel™ technology, a revolutionary water-repellent DWR treatment that is free of water and PFC, offering superior performance and significantly greater durability than other DWR solutions. The insulated hood features a one-handed adjustable drawcord. A YKK Vislon Slim® zipper runs down the center front with reduced volume. There are two YKK® zipper hand pockets and one zipper chest pocket. An integrated storage pouch with loops for a carabiner is included. The hood has an elastic drawcord and elastic cuffs.
